This year as part of the Denver Days Fall Festival we've added an exciting and fun new event that everyone can participate in, The Denver Days Fall Festival Talent Competition and Show! 

The idea for the talent show came from a suggestion received through the Denver Days web site. Each year we receive a number of comments and suggestions for the festival from attendees, vendors and performers. Ideas like this one help us improve the festival and provide something new each year. 

Thank you Tracy Frazier and LKN Realty Group for sponsoring the talent show. LKN Realty Group's financial support and Tracy's help and guidance in organizing the Denver Days Talent Competition are greatly appreciated.

The show is an opportunity to reveal individual and group talents in the area, while providing a wonderful night of family fun. We're looking for a variety of talents including vocalists, dancers, musicians, spokes models & emcees, comedians, actors, and more.

For those whose talent cannot be exhibited on stage, other categories such as writing, videography, photography, arts and crafts are available.

There is no age requirement or limit. For those who feel they may not have a special talent for the show, we encourage a little web surfing. We have uncovered some really creative ideas while doing our research for the show. This is an amateur show that literally anyone can participate in. 

The Denver Days Fall Festival Talent Show finals will be held Saturday, September 13, 2008 at Salem United Methodist Church on Pilot Knob Road, Denver, NC at 6pm. The community is encouraged to come out and see the show. Admission is $5 at the door, ages 3 and under are free. 

All entries must be "family appropriate" and are required to perform a preliminary performance and sound check. Preliminaries will be scheduled prior to the show date. Competition categories will be based on age, talent division, and number of entries received. Prizes will be awarded and Top Performers will have a special opportunity to do an encore performance on stage at the Denver Days Fall Festival which will be held September 24 - 27.

An event like this takes a number of volunteers to aid in planning as well as to make the show run smoothly. If you'd like help with the event please consider becoming a volunteer. Visit www.denverdays.com and click on "Become a Volunteer" at the bottom of the home page.
